Hillary and Joshua

Hillary Kelly-Plauché and Joshua Plauché recognized quickly that they were meant for each other and that each day of their lives had contributed to bringing them together.

“We met in Hawaii,” smiles Hillary. “I was on vacation there and met him at a restaurant on the beach, I think we knew and felt right away that we were soul mates, as if we had met before. We spent every day afterwards together.”

Joshua echoes her feelings. “The universe brought us together. My series of decisions and choices I’ve made in my life brought me to the same place at that same moment and when I saw her and our eyes met she had me—that rubber leg feeling. It was a very deep connection, knowingness, like I had known her before.”

Hillary, 40, is a Top and Elite Coach for Team Beachbody, helping people enjoy a more healthy and fulfilling life. She joined the company in 2009 after losing 70 pounds with one of their fitness programs, and she is CEO of HK Fitness, representing the company that makes P90X and Insanity. Hillary is also a non-teaching Master Scuba Diver trainer. She brings her precious sons Gaven, ten, and Logan, six, to the marriage.

Joshua Plauché, 30, has been a freelance photographer and graphic designer for ten years. A creative visual artist, Joshua enjoys the outdoor life, anything from fishing and hunting to laying out on the beach. His son Landyn, three, is also part of this blended family.

Joshua’s proposal was a very natural one for his relationship with Hillary. “I will admit, it wasn’t your formal, ritual kind of way of doing it. I guess the best way to put it would be to say that every day I spent falling more and more in love with her, my time and actions had been almost subconsciously acting on their own. Only a few short
weeks later I would never feel any more comfortable just casually saying that we needed to seal this fate and get married…and she said okay!”

The blissful couple tied the knot on December 1, 2014, in an intimate ceremony with just the bride and groom, the bride’s friend, Dana France, and the groom’s mother, Sheri Plauché. Hillary donned a simple white beach dress and Joshua wore a white linen shirt and jeans; yet their casual bare feet didn’t downplay the depth of their commitment to each other. “I may have been nervous,” Joshua smiles, “but I was so excited to see Hillary walking my way to spend the rest of her life with me!”

“Little Palm Island Resort in the Florida Keys was an amazing and magical place for both our wedding and honeymoon,” reveals Hillary. “We spent a few days there before and after the wedding, and every detail was taken care of. It was a wonderful way to begin our lives together!”
