Brenna and Ethan Romi

Brenna (Tallman) Romi, 26, graduated from Northwest Missouri State University with a BS in elementary education. She is in her third year of teaching third grade at Adrian Elementary. She is passionate about finding new and innovative ways to help each child learn and to be the best they can be. She loves God, her family and her friends.

Ethan Romi, 25, lives in Adrian, Missouri, with his lovely bride. He graduated from Missouri State University with a BS in agricultural education. He is in his third year teaching vocational agriculture at Adrian High School, where he is also the FFA adviser. He enjoys working with his students on their agricultural projects around the farm.

Brenna and Ethan have a common love of children and learning. They met on their first day of new teacher meetings and have been together ever since.

Brenna will always remember the day they became engaged. “It was July 4, 2017,” she smiles. “He was pretending to bend down and light a firecracker and told me that he needed me to hold the light for him. While he was bent down he pulled out the ring and surprised me with the proposal!”

The blissful couple tied the knot May 26, 2018. Brenna and Ethan each had six attendants; the bridesmaids were her sister-in-law, four best friends from high school and a college best friend. Ethan’s groomsmen were his brother, brother-in-law, a cousin and three college buddies.

“Our wedding day was perfect,” Brenna remembers. “We were surrounded by our family and closest friends. It was a beautiful ceremony with special, personal touches to make a day we will treasure forever. The altar cross was handcrafted by my father-in-law; a piece of lace from my mother’s wedding dress was added to my bouquet, and my veil headpiece had been worn by many members of my family in their own weddings. These few touches certainly added sentiment to our ceremony. I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful venue to have it in or more wonderful people to be surrounded by.”

The couple honeymooned in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and stayed at the Grand Fiesta Americana, where they enjoyed the beautiful scenery and the many dining experiences. ■
