The developers of The Fairways of Ironhorse, the nation’s first premier Boutique Retirement Club™, in Leawood, Kansas, identified an opportunity for a different type of senior living community. Overland Property Group is building the live-in country club near 151st and Nall, which overlooks two fairways at Ironhorse Golf Course. Midwest Health, the operating partner for the development, will manage the club. This development is the first of its kind with more communities planned in the future. Construction is underway right now for the 72 suites that will be available for rent in the first quarter of 2019.

Flexible Choice
“What’s unique about The Fairways of Ironhorse is that we offer lavish suites to rent, but there’s no expensive buy-in. Most prestigious communities on the level of The Fairways of Ironhorse require a significant buy-in along with rent. With that expense, you lose flexibility such as moving to be with your children or accessing your assets, which ultimately limits your independence,” said Bridget. “Alternatively, the Boutique Retirement Club model will feature an annual lease, but you can break it with a 30-day notice if you need a higher level of care not provided on site.”
