Spotlight on Integrity Gymnastics

By  0 Comments

Whether you’re interested in recreational or competitive gymnastics for your child, Integrity Gymnastics in Overland Park, Kansas, is the facility that keeps things hopping for families in the Overland Park, Leawood,
Olathe, Shawnee and Lenexa areas. Integrity Gymnastics concentrates on developing future champions in life and sport, while providing an environment of personal growth, confidence and integrity.

“Our objective at Integrity Gymnastics is to develop athletes who become well-rounded, confident young adults,” noted co-owner Cory Meredith. “Children who go through our program have the opportunity to grow with us in gymnastics, dance or cheer, but we also want them to go out with confidence and integrity for everything they do in life.”

Integrity Gymnastics, which opened in March 2015, offers gymnastics classes for those who have never stepped on a gym mat all the way to seasoned gymnasts wanting to compete. All of the classes are led by highly skilled coaches who have been in the industry for years, if not their whole lives, and most were gymnasts as well.

This team of 10 knowledgeable and experienced individuals is led by Cory Meredith and Traci Manganiello. Together, the pair offers their students more than 30 years of coaching, dancing and gym experience. Coach Tracy participated in competitive dance for 14 years. She has been coaching gymnastics and dance for the last 12 years, in both competitive and recreational environments. Coach Cory has vast experience in the gymnastics arena, beginning her training at age 2 and competing at age 6. Due to an injury at the age of 15, Cory retired at an impressive Level 8, Training 9. She’s been coaching gymnastics on and off since she was 16 and has always studied the sport. “When you combined our backgrounds and experiences, we’ve coached every aspect in women’s gymnastics,” noted Cory. “Our staff is exceptionally well rounded, offering one of the top coaching staffs in the KC metro.”

The focus at Integrity Gymnastics is on women’s gymnastics at a competitive level and boys’ and girls’ at the recreational level. Students can start as young as 12 months and walking, and can grow through Level 10 competition. The ages of kids at the competition levels vary by the year the student begins training, the child’s physical ability and the drive to grow in the sport.

While Integrity Gymnastics may focus on gymnastics, it also has a remarkable advanced dance studio built right into the facility, with classes geared toward all ages. Kids can enjoy many different classes, including youth yoga, ballet/jazz/tap, hip-hop, cheer and more advanced classes. Adults can join the fun with jazz, hip-hop and contemporary classes. “We offer a variety of classes to entertain all ages,” remarked Traci. “From traditional dance classes to hip-hop for adults, we are sure to have something for everyone within our new, contemporary dance studio located within the gymnastics building.”

Many gymnastic facilities are located in this area, but what sets Integrity Gymnastics apart is the fact it offers divided training areas for the students. The recreational gym is just for children enjoying gymnastics for fun and, inside of it, the area is further divided. “One area is for kids from 12 months and walking to about 5 years old,” noted Cory. “The equipment is miniaturized to fit the child and make it more kid friendly. On the other side, we have our kindergarten through fifth grade students, and they train on regular-sized equipment. The second gym is for competitive girls and upper-level tumbling and cheer from Integrity Gymnastics, and we welcome students from other gymnastics facilities. Dividing the gyms in this manner allows us to focus on the needs of each group, and it helps to maintain the safety of the children.”

Parents will love the facilities at Integrity Gymnastics because it welcomes the entire family. While the student is attending class in one of the multiple gymnastics floors, parents can relax in its comfortable waiting room. Parents are encouraged to observe their child hone their skills, watch one of our televisions or catch up on emails or social media. “If you have other kids not in class, then we have you covered there too,” enthused Traci. “Check out our awesome indoor playground, which is sure to keep the other kids busy while your gymnast learns life-enhancing skills in their class.”

The passion the staff at Integrity Gymnastics displays for your child is evident the minute you walk in the door. Their love of the sport and dedication to gymnastics and dance is easily apparent. “In addition, we have an even larger dedication to teaching kids,” noted Cory. “We pride ourselves in instilling confidence and integrity in children to help their journey as young adults in the world. We say we’re building champs in sports and in life. It’s about giving our students a fantastic environment that offers a safe place to grow without judgment.” HLM
