In 2004, Felix and his business partner, Roman Beznovsky, opened their first Romanelli Optix store in the Waldo/Brookside area at 7112 Wornall Road, on the Southwest corner of Gregory and Wornall, in Kansas City, Missouri. In 2006, a second facility was opened at 4756 West 135th Street, Leawood, Kansas. In 2012 a third location was opened at 5033 West 119th Street, in the Hawthorne Plaza, Overland Park, Kansas.
