The dining area is on the main level as well as a gathering area on the second level,” shared Darci. “We’re about small and intimate gatherings from 25 to 60 people. That’s where Posh Party functions best.”

Posh Party event venue was opened in August 2016 by Darci and her mom, Brenda Aylward, a long-time interior designer of Kansas City. More than a year ago, Brenda spotted an office building in Prairie Village that she knew had great potential, given its prime location. Calling upon her design skills and support from her late husband, Bob, Brenda gutted the structure and transformed it into the warm and inviting space that it is today. She persuaded Darci, who has extensive experience in event planning, to run Posh Party. Darci covers the operations side and Brenda oversees the decorating.

Located in the hub of Prairie Village, conveniently centered between downtown Kansas City and Olathe, Kansas, Posh Party offers an upscale atmosphere with a warm ambiance for smaller gatherings. “No matter if your occasion is a rehearsal dinner, cocktail party, bridal or baby shower, gender reveal event, English tea, fundraiser, anniversary party, political gathering, business seminar, customer appreciation dinner or even a football watch party that you can enjoy on our large screen TV’s, Posh Party is all about your celebration,” enthused Darci. “We’re focused on creating your own experience, facilitating your theme and how you want to experience it. Darci points out that her closest competitors are restaurants because of Posh Party’s smaller size. But her venue offers something completely different, a home-like atmosphere with a personalized touch. In fact, Darci is at every event held at Posh Party, overseeing the details so you don’t have to, and seamlessly integrating into your positive hosting experience.

The amenities at Posh Party include handicap accessible facilities with elevator; full warming kitchen; two gas fireplaces; two full bars with bartenders available for hire; free parking; food catering available for hire; audiovisual equipment, including two large flat screen TVs and sound systems; and a gorgeous patio area. Unlike many venues, tables and chairs are included in the rental fee. Party theme assistance is available, and you can choose from a plethora of décor items, giving your intimate event that special touch.

“We have more than 300 tableware and décor items, many of them collected by my mom to use for her own entertaining,” shared Darci. “My mom will even come to you to decorate for your special occasion. Our themes are available to rent at your place or ours.”

Seminars and Events
