My Influencer

By  0 Comments

My world, my inspiration and one of the most incredible KC influencers I know. My sister.

If you do a Google search for “what is an influencer,” all the links say the same thing: an individual who has the power to affect your decisions. Many of the definitions define an influencer as someone who leads people to make purchases.

We all see the same folks on Facebook and Instagram selling material things, but how often do you see those same people influence your life for the better without a discount code attached? Sadly, not enough, in my opinion.

My sister is very much like me; we were both raised to be honest, hard workers. Her name is Liz Little, and after more than 15 years in retail, she owns Inspired Style Boutique in downtown Lee’s Summit. She understood very quickly as a local business owner that it’s not just about the sale. It’s more about the impact you can have on someone’s life. She is a powerhouse, both with her brick and mortar store and with her success on social media. Her selling skills are outstanding, but that’s not what makes her one of KC’s most incredible influencers, in my book. It’s the personal impact she has on so many lives all across our great city.

My favorites are her Motivational Mondays. Her first one was on February 13, 2017, the first Monday after it was confirmed her cancer had recurred. It started as a way to keep some normalcy in a very abnormal stretch of her life. Her Monday posts now encourage thousands each week to always looks for the positive and spread kindness. She gives back to our community every chance she gets, and many times at her own expense of time and money. But that is exactly who she is, without hesitation.

I am so proud to call her my sister, best friend and role model in life.

Check out her posts @InspiredStyleKC. Love you, Lizzy!
