Must-Have Summer Accessories

By  0 Comments

Summertime is here, which means the temperatures are warming up! No need for layering these days, especially in this Kansas heat. So, if you follow the third piece rule when you get dressed, not adding a layer could be a little confusing. What’s a girl to do without her third piece to finish off her look? The answer? Accessories.

The perfect accessories can finish off your look in a snap without the extra layer. It just so happens that there are lots of accessories trending now that you can easily add to your wardrobe.

The New “It” Summer Bag
Don’t underestimate the power of a great bag to make or break your look. There’s no need for big, heavy bags this summer. Instead, opt for lightweight statement bags such as woven basket bags or a darling net market bag. A net bag is see-through, so grab some of those darling cosmetic bags to display. Bonus: this bag doubles as the perfect pool or beach bag! Need something a bit more substantial? I also love the soft woven or hard case basket bag! There are so many styles out there in different shapes and sizes that you have the opportunity to bump up your whole look!

Hair Accessories
Try a headscarf! These come in lots of different colors and patterns and will add a little hair flair to your look. I prefer an actual scarf tied into a knot on top of my head or tied around a low ponytail. But, if you are a low-maintenance gal, you can find headbands that look like scarves. If you have more of a classic style, look for colors that will match your look. If you’re more of a trendsetter, look for eclectic styles, colors and prints! These headbands look cute with every hairstyle, so play with a couple of different styles to find the one that is best for you! If the headband isn’t your thing, go for the sleek hair barrette! Some are simple and some are more ornate, but all will add a level of sophistication to a simple hairstyle. Also, if you were wondering if these accessories are similar to the ones you wore in the ’90s, you would be correct. Everything old is new again!
