Back-to-School Cool

By  0 Comments

Back-to-school shopping has always been a big deal. In my early years, this meant a trip to the mall and a visit to Gap Kids and to pick up some brand new white Keds®. There was an employee at the Oak Park Mall Gap Kids–my own personal shopper–that always helped me. He put together cute outfits that he knew I would love and that would be mom-approved. He always found quality basics as well as some fun and unique pieces that made me feel on trend. Together the three of us found items that would mix and match and get me through the school year.

My mom knew that I loved fashion and she also knew that my style was a way to express my creativity and to feel confident to do my very best. As I got older, this translated into other important events in my life: first day of college, first interview, first day at a new job and so on. The “look good, feel good” mantra that my mother taught me is still in my head every day.

With back-to-school right around the corner, there are lots of fun styles trending for fall. As you grab your new backpack or handbag, here is a quick edit of the go-to trends that you can look for when shopping! ■
