Personalizing your home: Working with an interior designer

QUESTION: What should your interior designer’s top priority be when determining the design of your home?

ANSWER: It should be to individualize the design to the client. My main goal is always to create a personalized comfortable space. I want every client’s home to be unique, and the easiest way to do that is by listening to the homeowner and making sure I’m incorporating all their favorite elements and creating the design from all the things they love.
 
QUESTION: We’re thinking of building a new home. At what point in the building process is it ideal to bring in an interior designer?

ANSWER: The sooner the better! We have great recommendations for architects and builders so you can even call us first! We will attend all your architect and builder meetings and offer a unique perspective on how to make your home both functional and beautiful. We design even the smallest details, down to your HVAC layout and placement of light switches! We work as the liaison between you, your home builder and your subcontractors. HLM
