Three Week Kitchens

It’s the rare individual who asserts, “I only have a kitchen because it came with the house.” This part of the home is truly its central focus. It is the place in which meals are prepared, conversations are enjoyed, laughter is served and memories are made. It is also a part of the home that can and would appreciate a timely update, especially if that kitchen has been serving its homeowners for the better part of the last 15 or 20 years.

“Homes that are in that age range are ripe for remodeling,” noted Debra Toney, founder and managing partner of Three Week Kitchens™, a complete
kitchen and bathroom design-build remodeling company that partners award-winning and exceptional design elements with savvy solutions.

Debra began honing her skills in the industry as a real estate developer in the latter part of the 1990s. Throughout her career, she gained a reputation for top-notch kitchen and bath designs. She turned her passion and skillset into a successful endeavor, launching her Three Week Kitchens brand (3&One) in 2009, committed to providing the best in design and service to her clients. “Transitioning to remodeling just made sense to me,” explained Debra, who works alongside her son, Tristan Toney, managing partner and co-franchisor. Debra understands that remodeling these high-traffic spaces can be a significant investment for the homeowners, but she also understands how important it is that these rooms functions at their optimum. “The kitchen and bathrooms are the most heavily trafficked spaces in a home,” she said.

And even though it can seem overwhelming to undertake such a project, working with Debra, Tristan and their experienced staff of designers is anything but. “We have worked hard to make this a simple process,” explained Tristan. “We come out to the client’s home for an initial consultation and talk with the homeowner about what he or she wants to achieve. The design process has been created to be a ‘shop-at-home’ experience, which saves time for the homeowner, makes the process more efficient and provides the best selections to achieve that final product.”

From that point, the design process usually lasts four weeks, during which the 3&One staff and any trade partners, such as plumbers and electricians, can inspect site conditions so that everyone fully understands what the process will entail. There are no surprises when it comes to the final price. “We do not provide estimates,” expressed Debra. “Through our proven system, we work to with the homeowner to build a quality set of plans and specifications from which we can determine a complete project price. We are fully committed to our process.”

Through their Smart Design Program, 3&One can successfully navigate the intricacies of custom design and present products and solutions that fit each client’s vision and lifestyle. As a result, their team of experienced craftsmen and design experts will maximize the value of each remodel project. This process allows for top quality kitchen and bath renovation without creating extra demands on a client’s busy schedule. The delivery process is streamlined to allow for each project to be completed quickly, efficiently andon budget. “I am systems and procedures driven in my work,” emphasized Debra. “I love design but I also am here to educate our clients and assist them in making the best decisions possible.”

Debra pointed out some of the exciting trends in kitchen remodeling today, including removing the traditional desk area and incorporating a beverage center that houses a coffee maker and perhaps a self-service bar. Also popular are charging stations for technology devices, engineered stone, large format tile, dual sinks or dishwashers, and white painted cabinetry.

For those not quite ready for a full-scale remodel, 3&One offer economical solutions such as exceptional cabinet resurfacing and kitchen repurposing. “We can completely update the look of the cabinets, countertops or tile backsplash and one would never know it was originally a builder-grade kitchen,” stated Debra.

As more and more people are turning to remodeling opportunities for their homes, 3&One is now offering franchise opportunities. In addition to their flagship location in central Denver, 3&One is excited to introduce their new location in Highlands Ranch. “We are excited to expand our service area to help even more clients, and we have the good fortune of partnering with Linnore Gonzales, who also owns Décor and You in Highlands Ranch, as our first franchisee,” expressed Tristan. “We look forward to continued growth of our company through our unique franchise opportunities. For anyone who has ever wanted to have a business, this is a perfect opportunity, especially for someone with a background in business management, design or construction.”

Linnore added, “We’re excited to include 3&One kitchens and baths as part of our comprehensive interior design services. We look forward to providing new options and services to our design clients.”
