Creating beautiful kitchen spaces, lavish master suites and plush, swoon-worthy living rooms are all in a day’s work for certified interior designer Kathleen Jennison. If you are lost among the linens, or can’t seem to pull your design ideas together, KTJ Design Company in Stockton has a plan for your spaces.

With a wide variety of interior design services, Kathleen works with clients to develop spaces with an emphasis on individual style. Her extensive knowledge of interior design concepts and keen eye for detail helps clients who are frustrated with their current designs bring their spaces together. “I’m passionate about helping my clients develop their personal style and reflecting their widely unique personalities within their homes,” Kathleen affirmed. “I love to help bring out their inner designer to develop chic, stylish spaces.”

Her Story
Before becoming an all-star interior designer, Kathleen worked as a certified public accountant for a national firm in the city. But a near fatal car accident changed her career path and life forever. Suffering from serious brain injuries, Kathleen found herself at a crossroads. No longer able to work as a CPA, her doctors suggested she should take some art classes to help with her rehabilitation.

“My accident was a horrible experience, but it unlocked something in me that I never would have dreamed of beforehand. Every day I’m reminded how precious life is,” shared Kathleen. With her newfound love for design, she went on to study at the Art Institute in Sacramento, obtaining her bachelor’s degree in interior design. She is a member of the American Society of Interior Designers and has served as the director of marketing for the National Association of Remodelers for the Greater Sacramento area. In 2009, she started KTJ Design Company and the rest is history.

The Value of Hiring an Interior Designer
An award-winning interior designer, Kathleen helps her clients pull spaces together while incorporating their own style and individual needs. Whether you have a design concept in mind or you have no clue where to begin, hiring an interior designer can provide an array of advantages. From saving money on costly mistakes to gaining access to the latest in design trends, an interior designer can bring your project to fruition.

“Many people don’t realize that an interior designer can actually save their clients money. By helping them choose the right pieces that fit their needs and wants, we can ensure that everything is just right.” Because she believes that remodeling a home is a very intimate process, Kathleen works closely with her clients throughout the entire project. “I collaborate with them every step of the way. As a full-service interior designer, my goal is to incorporate the classic principles of scale, proportion, color and quality into a space, while weaving in their unique style and taste.” Homeowners who want to take their spaces from bland to beautiful and turn an outdated kitchen design into a gourmet dream room can rely on Kathleen’s expert advice and experience.

For those who are searching for clarity and direction, the Remodel Clarity Session is a two-hour interior design consultation and brainstorming session that focuses on what works and what doesn’t.

Adventures in Renovation is a comprehensive design solution for those searching for a perfectly personalized dream home. Your Kitchen: A Love Story is the ultimate kitchen style guide for clients who want to update or completely remodel their outdated kitchens. “One of the first questions I ask a client when doing a kitchen remodel is, ‘How do you cook?’ If you only cook on Sunday evenings and eat out the rest of the week, expensive, high-end appliances may not be necessary.” Focusing on the right products and materials along with a solid design concept can make a dream kitchen come true.

“An important piece of the interior design process is taking the initial time to get to know my clients and listening to what they want,” Kathleen concluded. “I love my clients and helping make their visions into a reality is my number one job!”
