Discovering the Many Options of Twin Arbors Athletic Club

When visitors and new members scan the vast list of offerings at Twin Arbors Athletic Club, they have been known to remark, “There’s no way one club can offer so much!” But Kelly Geist, the club’s Marketing Director, is always thrilled to show visitors and members that the lengthy list of perks and options for members and the community is indeed true.

“Our club is more than just a gym,” Kelly noted. “We encourage everyone to utilize the club as a natural extension of their home and work and take another look at the vast array of events, activities, programs and benefits that this state-of-the art club has to offer. Twin Arbors Athletic Club offers about 60 group exercise classes per week, including step, resistance, interval, dance, yoga, Pilates and other class formats. From early morning to late evening, there’s a class designed for everyone.”

Specialty Classes
Kettlebell
Take heart-pumping music and your favorite kettlebell moves and combine them into 60 minutes of calorie-torching fun! Each song focuses on a main anatomical area while still maintaining a whole-body workout!

Jillian Michaels BODYSHRED
A high-intensity and endurance-based workout utilizing Jillian’s 3-2-1 interval approach: three minutes of strength, two minutes of cardio and one minute of abs. You will shed fat, define muscle, transform the look of your physique, and dramatically enhance your overall health and athletic performance.

Cardio Strength Intervals
A 45-minute circuit-style training class that works every muscle in your body! Class includes kettlebells, TRX suspension training, slam balls, sandbags, jump ropes and your own body weight.

PiYo Live
This intense body weight strength and cardiovascular workout uses the easiest tool: your body!

Group Cycling
This instructor-led class is a heart-pumping, calorie-burning ride to invigoration. Inspiring music, state-of-the art cycles that are easily adjusted to your fitness level and the energizing dynamics of a group setting make this one of the most popular classes year-­round.

TRX Suspension Training
Challenge your body with the TRX Suspension Training system. If you need to punch through a fitness plateau, or would love to find greater results in your fitness levels, TRX Suspension small group training is for you!

Junior Fitness Programs
Martial Arts
Hier’s Goju Ryu Karate dojo is located within the club and is a fun program designed to develop strong bodies, physical agility and mental awareness. This kids-friendly program teaches self-defense, self-discipline, self-respect and self-accomplishment.

Fit Kids Circuit (Seasonal)
This kids’ class puts the fun in fitness fundamentals of running, jumping, pushing, pulling, punching, spinning, smiling, competing and excelling! This class is meant to enhance kids’ agility, balance, coordination and flexibility while providing a good time in an inviting environment!

Tennis and Sports
Whether you are a beginning player or a seasoned competitor, you have come to the right place. Few other sports clubs in the region offer the court resources necessary to improve your game like Twin Arbors Athletic Club. That goes for racquetball and squash players, too. Adult tennis programs include free beginners tennis lessons and adult tennis camp, plus Wake-Up Tennis on Saturday, 9:30-11:30 a.m., and Senior Drop-In Tennis, Monday and Thursday, 9:30-11:30 a.m.

Group and Private Swim Lessons
Swimming is one of the best skills a child can have. It encourages participation in a variety of healthy and enjoyable water activities.

Dolphins Swim Team
Twin Arbors swim team is a highly motivating junior program for people who love to swim. Practice is offered four days a week. The program integrates stroke work, endurance training and activities that help build self-esteem.

Water Aerobics
Have fun while reaching your fitness goals. Instructor-led classes provide an entertaining and fun fitness environment. Join a class today and meet some new friends.

Masters Swim
Our year-round, instructor-led adult Masters Swim program focuses on lap swimming. Anyone who wants to come out for practice is welcome, whether you would like a workout, some stroke work or some of both.

Community Events and Activities
On September 29, 2017, guests are invited to our annual Star Gazing Family Night Out. Bring your blanket or low-level chairs for a fun and eventful night under the stars. Wear your anti-alien repellent! Paint & Sip, Wine & Cheese Social, Night at the Oscars and Parents Night Out are a few activities adults enjoy at the Twin Arbors Athletic Clubs, in addition to the annual Member Appreciation Day Open House.

For the Kiddos
Kids’ Club is designed to provide a multitude of activities for your children to keep them entertained. A safe and positive environment design with kids in mind, the Play Center offers a wide variety of enriching activities that focus on development of your child’s fine and gross motor skills. Join others at the annual Kids Camp for fun, friendship, exciting field trips and the creation of lifelong memories. ■
