We talked with Tiffany to learn more about her role at Classic Design Interiors and what makes them unique.

Q: How did you get your start in the interior design business?
A: I started working in this building in 1989 as a temporary receptionist for a company called Walters Carpet. I worked my way up as the company was bought and sold over the years. I was the senior operations manager for Northern California and Nevada, overseeing approximately $100M in sales for Creative Touch Interiors in 2006. At that time, the company moved to Lathrop and I opened my own business in this same building. When I remodeled my own home, I realized the need for a one-stop shop where all of the products were sampled under one roof and designers assisted in the process of selecting the perfect products. Adding on complete labor services rounded out the plan.

Q: What is the best part of your job?
A: It’s hearing from happy homeowners whose only complaint is that they waited so long to remodel their homes.

Q: What are the top three services enjoyed by Classic Design Interior customers?
A: Our award-winning design service, our gorgeous 6,000-square-foot showroom featuring hundreds of products for customers to sample and enjoy, and our complete labor program in which we are licensed as both a general contractor and a flooring subcontractor.

Q: What makes Classic Design Interiors unique?
A: We are one of the most decorated firms in Lodi, with over 60 Best of Awards for everything from floorcovering to remodeling and window coverings, best local employer and Business of the Year. In addition, we are locally owned and operated and care deeply about our community. I am on the Lodi Planning Commission, received the Volunteer of the Year Award and I have served as past Board Chair for the Lodi Chamber of Commerce and its government relations committee, and received the prestigious Small Business Advocate of the Year from the California Chamber of Commerce in 2015.

Q: What are some of the questions customers have when coming to Classic Design Interiors?
A: The number one question everyone has is, “How much will it cost?” The great answer is that the clients determine their budget and then their custom remodel is built around that budget.

Q: Why should someone hire an interior designer?
A: If you’ve never remodeled, you absolutely need assistance because there are numerous design pitfalls and budget considerations that occur throughout a project. Most of our clients have remodeled in the past and know the importance of hiring a professional to get it right the first time.

Classic Design Interiors Home Transformation
Located in Stockton and built in 1978, this total remodel was transformed by Classic Design Interiors from a small galley kitchen into an open great-room concept that required relocation of all the plumbing, electrical and ventilation systems. Designers worked closely with the homeowners to help develop and design a beautiful and spacious kitchen incorporating an open and spacious feel with luxurious amenities. The remodel included removing two walls and adding windows for natural light to highlight the open and spacious feel. Plumbing fixtures were added to incorporate a functional farmhouse sink. A functional island was added to the space to allow more storage and to create a spot for entertaining. To help enhance the overall design and spacious feel, energy-efficient LED can lights and LED under-cabinet lighting were used to accentuate the new design features. Above the island, three stylish pendant lights were installed to bring the space together. A beautiful quartz countertop and tile backsplash provided an added element of style to pull the overall design concept together. Stainless steel appliances and luxury vinyl plank floor coverings completed the design.
