Saratoga Race Course Reprises Fabulous Events for Guests

The Saratoga Race Course will be host once again to two very popular events this season! The Taste NY at Saratoga and Fashion Saturdays at the Spa. The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) is thrilled to offer these opportunities for race fans to enjoy.

The Taste NY program, presented in partnership with the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets, will be held over the course of three days each week of the meet on-track at the Coca-Cola Saratoga Pavilion. Thursday and Friday editions occur from noon to 5:00 p.m.; the Sunday market opens at 10:30 a.m. and runs through 5:00 p.m.

All the Great State Offers
Taste NY events provide guests with the opportunity to sample a wide variety of products made exclusively in New York State. The series features an array of New York ciders, wines and spirits for sampling every Thursday of the meet; a selection of New York craft beers on Fridays; and New York foods and handmade items every Sunday of the Saratoga season.

Cider, Wine and Spirits
Participating vendors in the Thursday cider, wine and spirits tasting include: Albany Distilling Company, Albany; Heron Hill Winery, Hammondsport; Hudson Valley Distillers, Germantown; Indian Ladder Farms, Altamont; Nine Pin Cider Works, Albany; Saratoga Courage Distillery, Greenfield Center; Saratoga Winery, Saratoga Springs; Slyboro Ciderhouse, Granville; Springbrook Hollow Farm Distillery, Queensbury; Thirsty Owl, Saratoga Springs; and Upstate Distilling, Saratoga Springs.

Craft Beer
Participating breweries in the Friday craft beer tasting include: Adirondack Brewery, Lake George; Artisanal Brew Works, Saratoga Springs; Blue Toad Cider, Rochester; Brewery Ommegang, Cooperstown; Brooklyn Brewery, Brooklyn; Captain Lawrence Brewing Company, Elmsford; Davidson Brothers Brewing Company, Glens Falls; Druthers Brewing Company, Saratoga Springs; Genesee Brewery, Rochester; Good Nature Brewing, Hamilton; Ithaca Beer Company, Ithaca; Keegan Ales, Kingston; Lake Placid Brewery, Lake Placid; Mad Jack Brewing Company, Schenectady; R.S. Taylor & Sons Brewery, Salem; Saranac Brewery, Utica; and Winner’s Circle Brewing Company, Saratoga Springs.

Food and Artisan Market 
Participating vendors in the Sunday food and artisan market include: George’s Market and Nursery, Latham; IM2 Handmade Items, Levittown; Liberty Ridge Farm, Schaghticoke; Michelle Lombard Glass Designs, Saratoga Springs; Miss Scarlett Boutique, Saratoga Springs; Nothing Bundt Cakes, Colonie; and RAD Soap Co., Albany.

Fashion, Always!
Fashion Saturdays will be held each Saturday of the meet from 10:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Guests are welcome to visit the Coca-Cola Saratoga Pavilion for a boutique-style shopping experience, with an array of women’s and men’s fashion apparel, accessories and beauty items from local retailers, as well as a selection of home décor and jewelry.

“Style and fashion are inherently a part of the racing experience and we are excited to honor this custom with Fashion Saturdays at Saratoga Race Course,” added Lynn. “We encourage fans to join us each Saturday for an afternoon of shopping at the Spa where our guests can find the perfect item to complement their race day ensemble.”

Participating vendors for this year’s Fashion Saturdays series include Bumble B Boutique, offering affordable women’s clothing, jewelry, accessories, bridal specialty items and giftware; Complexions Spa, offering wellness and beauty products such as lotions, make-up kits and massage therapy; Lifestyles of Saratoga and Caroline and Main, featuring a collection of women’s clothing, jewelry and accessories for shoppers of all ages; and Miss Scarlett Boutique, offering a hand-picked selection of fashionable dresses, hats, fascinators, jewelry and handbags.

Fashions for men are provided by The National, a classic men’s clothing shop featuring quality brands. Saratoga is spotlighted with TOGA Heritage, featuring fine goods for the home and office and celebratory gifts that incorporate the culture, tradition and memories of Saratoga.

Shoppers at Fashion Saturdays will also enjoy light music, including jazz and acoustic guitar.
